Y Hullo Thar

Sat Jul 19, 2008, 7:14 AM
Yarr. I was REALLY tempted to let this go next month so I could call the entry "It's been (an additional) 6 months", but I'm just too impatient.

Not that I have much to say, but here goes. Recently picked back up on playing Oblivion and Morrowind. Yay Elder Scrolls, yay. Possible fanart/crappy fanfiction in the works. Probably involving werewolves. Sshhh. <.<

RvB is back, which reminds me, I ought to go catch up on Reconstruction. I've been letting it get ahead of me for a bit. That way I can consume multiple episodes at once, like the good ol' days when I watched the original series up to ep 75 all in the space of a week or two.

Obsessive? Yes. Fun? Also yes.

Soooooooo.... Good things happened for me. Made a trip to my favorite used game store and did a routine shelf-check for all the old out-of-print things I'm hunting and FOUND ALL OF THEM. AT ONCE. Oh. My. God.

Monster Rancher 3, Monster Rancher Advance 2 (lost my old copy. *grumbles*), and Zoids: Legacy. That last one is a real score, I'm pretty sure it had a small release. It wasn't too popular, and the Engrish is rather terrible at points. At least it's comprehensible most of the time. And besides, I loved Zoids. Like, love.

They also had a copy of Zoids: Battle Legends, for Gamecube. Anybody remember that? I didn't get it, but I was watching some gameplay vids and am now sorely tempted. I've heard tell the missions can be nigh impossible though.

And still on the Zoids thread (yeah, this is one of those fandoms that's always there but sometimes more there than others with me) there's a new game coming out this year. Zoids: Assault. Xbox 360. Oh yeah. I'm kind of leery of it right now though, they redesigned the Zoids and uglified them. v_v And there's only five of 'em. And they expect me to pay sixty dollars for the damn thing. I think I'll wait until it gets either A) Shredded by critics and dropped in price, B) Lauded by everyone and eventually gets a cheap platinum release, or C) Is not registered by anyone of importance and slides slowly into the bargain bin. I'm betting on C.

So... yes. Perhaps I will have something worth your time to put up on here soon. For those of you aware of my Fanfiction.net account (White Wolf Zita, with spaces) I've posted a bit of RvB Spinoffverse stuff over there. Called "Warzone is Serious Business!". Go check it out. Or not.

Well, I updated my journal. So now the guilt bunnies ought to leave me alone. @_@

Gah, I neglect this journal like nothing else. :P

Anyhow, Xmas was good. Xbox 360, Halo, Oblivion, GH3, all that jazz. Fun.

I'm learning how to drive. So if anyone happens to be puttering around northeast Ohio and finds a little silver Honda Civic with a screaming girl and her mother in the front seats barreling down a nice country lane hitting mailboxes, you'll know who it is. xP

The most important thing in my life right now is that I FINISHED OUTPOST DELTA.

Other than that, I can't think of anything else to say. *sweatdrop*

BLARGH!

Hi, sorry I'm not doing much now folks. *ducks head in shame* I'm really abusing all my Outpost Delta fans, aren't I? *sigh* We're growing nearer and nearer to the point where I think the quality of the work slopes off, so I keep putting off posting. In better news, I did manage to write a decently humorous scene involving A-BOB recently. :)

So yeah. Hopefully I'll get some OD up before we hit the "I've-left-you-waiting-for-two-months" point. That would make me feel BAD.

Now, in other news:

1. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney is frickin' amazing. It's perhaps one of THE most addictive games I've ever played. It's not very actiony at all, it's mostly dialogue and requires quite a bit of thought to get through. However, it's fun because you have all these zany characters to deal with. For those of you unfamiliar, it's the story of a young defense attorney named Phoenix Wright basically struggling for justice and suchlike in the courtroom.
The best part is you get to yell OBJECTION! into the DS microphone. *nodnod*

2. Halo 3 made me very, very sad. Microsoft used it, and I mean USED it. I don't own a 360, and this has changed my mind to the point of saying "Screw you, Microsoft. I'm getting a Wii." Or PS3, but it still has yet to do ANYTHING I find worthy of coveting.
So, Halo 3 is full of freezing and bugs and junk. Also, they pretty much killed poor Sgt. Johnson's face. Oh, and they didn't answer ANY questions, they just leave you going WTF?! at the end. (Not to mention all the people who don't watch the credits after Legendary running around spouting false spoilers. I want to eat their lungs. O.o)

3. icanhascheezburger.com amuses me greatly. Iz teh invajun of teh lolcatz.

4. I've been in school for a while now. It kinda sucks, but for the first time in forever I've got a good math teacher. I mean, how can you not like a guy that talks about absolute values as superman's telephone booth? XD
Oh, and for art we're doing self portraits. Five foot tall faces! I'll never get done on time at the rate I work, I'm OCD with the way the shadows are shaped. >.< It's kinda fun to get to sit on the table you're drawing on though, as long as you don't smear the lead with your knees.

5. The Three Musketeers is a good book. An American Tragedy, my current English class induced misery, is not as fun to read though and cuts into any time I could spend on the musketeers. If you like action, go reads it. Now-like. It actually has FUNNY parts. ^_^

6. See my favs? There's a cartoon there about Elites called Benny N Gill. It's amazing. ;)

Eh, Journalish

Tue Aug 7, 2007, 7:41 AM
Considering that I haven't updated my journal in two months, I've decided to say... stuff.

1. RvB ended. (BOY AM I BEHIND WITH MY JOURNAL!) Weep for me.

2. My computer died sometime in June and was reborn from the ashes of its... hard drive. That. Anyway, I managed to save all files that I deemed important. I'm starting, however, to find things that I miss with great sorrow...

3. I beat Poke'mon Diamond sometime in June as well. I don't play it anymore now.

4. I don't play Halo anymore either because 1) I lost it and 2) My speakers and my computer have had a falling out and don't work together anymore.

5. Since I last mentioned Soul of the Wild, a large site-wide plot has sprung up that I get a key part in. ^_^ I'm quite happy. I get to be 3B1L.

6. Outpost Delta is going well.

7. The next thing I'm going to write will have the words "Hop Skippity" in the title. Considering it will be about a Spartan II (an OC of mine, Trevor-013, that I'm working on a portrait-sketch-thing of) you should be afraid. VERY afraid.

  • Mood: Daily Needs
  • Listening to: Nothing. *glares at speakers*
  • Reading: Warriors: Starlight (Shut up >.<)
  • Watching: Hunting down a working copy of Alien...
  • Playing: Well, I beat Jak X Combat Racing...
  • Eating: Nothing
  • Drinking: ...Air? Can you drink air?

Gotta Catch 'em All!

(For future reference, I hate the above phrase from the bottom of my soul because it was made by stupid American promoters who went on to dumb Pokemon down to a five-year-old level)

I found this AWESOMAZING (TM) journal thing! I stole it from the also AWESOMAZING :iconmadmaddie: . FEAR IT.

1) What was your first Pokemon game?
Red version! I was in the second grade! IT HAD A CHARIZARD ON THE BOX! (droolspaz)

2) Can you remember who your starter was? If so, who?
Oh yes, because my brother DELETED MY FILE after I beat the game! I almost killed him, you can be assured. Anywhup, It's always been Bulbasaur for me. I named him Gunther. I dont' know why. I was, what, seven at the time?

3) Did you ever complete the Pokedex in any games? Which one(s)?
Red version. Before my brother killed it. -_-

4) Did you watch the Pokemon anime? Who was your favourite character?
I used to watch it. It was fine in the first season, they didn't cheat too much for Ash and it wasn't as dumb. But now it's really repetitive and the voices have all changed and ASH GOT SCARY CLOTHES. Oh, and they're behind the times. Everything's still genderless. >.< My favorite character was... Well, I'm going to count Team Rocket as one character. Is that cheating? They do such dumb things. ^_^

5) Do you still watch the anime?
No. Just... no.

6) What's your favourite Pokemon type? Explain.
I can't decide between fire/electric/water. Lately I'm leaning more toward electric. Lightning is just cool.

7) Who's your favourite Pokemon? Explain.
MY MOST FAVORITEST POKEMANS IS: Well, it's a tied war between Arcanine and Houndoom. Doggies, yay! ^_^ And Charizard and Zapdos are kinda watching on the sidelines, trying to team up and then betray each other...

8) Which Pokemon do you dislike the most? Explain.
Most people would say Magikarp, but not I. I like Magikarp and pity its patheticness. So let's see... You know what? I hate Mew, Jirachi, Deoxys, Celebi, Arceus, Darkrai, Shaymin, and anything else that takes a stupid Nintendo event to get. I HATE YOU, NINTENDO! (recovers after playing Super Smash Bros Melee for a while)

9) Which is your favourite region? Explain.
Kanto was great, but I really loved Johto best. Perhaps because the memories there are fresher and the graphics much better.

10) Which is your favourite Pokemon series (ie, Kanto 1-151, Johto 152-251, Hoenn 252-358, others)? Explain.
HARD DEMON QUESTION! >.< Johto, just to be consistent. Houndoom. Feraligatr. Espeon and Umbreon. Things like that clinch it.

11) Can you say a series Pokedex, without a reference, in order?
I am not ashamed to say I knew the RBY poke'dex by heart when I was eight. Not no more, though.

12) Do you know all the type advantages, disadvantages and all the super-effective moves for each type?
I know most of them just from playing the game. I think I've imagined a few more, like my brother and I used to INSIST that fire is good against water and flying because roasted fish and birds in the real world serve as evidence.

13) Did you prefer Pokemon before the new ones, or after?
Everything went down hill after the Johto series. NEW POKEMON ARE UGLY.

14) Have you got an Original Character who is a trainer?
A few... somewhere...

15) Have you ever wrote a fanfiction story about Pokemon?
Yes. Because I'm just that kind of kid. The first fanfic I ever wrote on a computer (IT WAS HORRIBLE, DON'T ASK ME BECAUSE I WILL NEVER POST IT. I'm just relieved that expage finally killed my website I built on there. ;) For that reason...) was Pokemon-related. I still keep trying to come up with good ideas, they never get off the ground though.

17) Who is your favourite gym leader?
Haha! Um... BLAINE! Because he's BALD and makes you answer DUMB QUESTIONS! XP

18) What about Elite Four trainer?
Lance. Because he's cool, gets to pwn team rocket and stuff, and is... Cool. I don't even know who the new E-4 are in Hoenn and Sinnoh, I don't pay attention.

19) If you lived in the Pokemon world, who would your starter be? (Please choose out of the normal starters, excluding Pikachu and Eevee).
Hard race between Charmander and Totodile, actually...

20) Which city would you live in before you started your journey? Why?
Golden Rod, because I just end up spending a lot of time there for no apparent reason. (remembers) That's right, I like the straightaway up and down the middle of town for hatching eggs.

21) Would you travel just in the one region, or spread to other places?
I'M GONNA CONQUER ZE WORLD! MUAHAHAHAHA!

22) Would you train just one type, or different ones?
Only dumb people train one type. :P Running up against a person with ONE electric type and you have six Gyaradoses? Not smart!

23) What kind of Poke-Person would you be? Trainer? Breeder? Gym leader?
Trainer. Duh.

24) Would you collect gym badges? Or keep Pokemon as pets?
Badges FTW!

25) Who is your ultimate two-on-two team? Explain.
TWO ON TWO SUCKS! I think I've made myself clear. ;)
